Watercolors
« on: July 30, 2017, 06:58:11 PM »
I was wondering if you guys know of any inexpensive decent quality watercolors, and good places to find them? Thanks!~

Hmmm...
The watercolors I use (if I ever watercolor anymore! 😲) come from cheap art sets. They're the "brick" kind that do easily fall out the package, but the quality on the paper is pretty good.
Try finding such an art set at Walmart or any other superstore.

I use this and it's pretty great. Also nice since you can buy a bigger or smaller one, depending on your needs/budget.

I would say to just get a cheap one like Artist's Loft at Michael's or something like what Red linked to if you're really set on it.
My set is a really cheap one and it does alright. it has a lot of colors, but they're not great quality, but, for me anyway, watercolor is hard and also I don't really do art much now so I'm kind of glad that I ended up with a cheaper set. I enjoy doing it, but I'm just not willing to put forth the effort to become at least decent at it XD
So my advice when trying something new is, get something that's good enough to work with, but not so good that you'll end up wasting a lot of money if you don't like it... Luckily, cheap watercolors seem good enough as a test run.. Unlike music equipment which makes my job really hard =w=; seriously to get a bottom of the line weighted digital piano is like $600 and I've been playing piano for 6 or 7 years now and I'm still not sure I want to drop that much on a piano, let alone dropping upwards of $1000 on a new instrument like a cheap cello or sax.. heck even guitar which I've been playing for 10 years I'm still not able to buy newer experimental guitars like 7 strings.. or even just an actually good/working acoustic guitar
